County VFD fight grass fires through the weekend, burn ban put in place

The National Weather Service reported sustained winds of 30 miles per hour with gusts up to forty-five miles per hour the afternoon of Friday, Dec 10. The combination of high winds and dry pastureland helped fuel numerous grass fires in and around Archer County Friday, Dec. 10, and Saturday, Dec. 11.
