Voters to decide Holliday ISD's bond fate

With early voting set to begin on Monday, April 24, registered voters in Holliday ISD are set to voice their opinion on the district’s bond proposal. The $40 million bond includes three propositions which all must be passed separately for the proposed projects to be completed.

Early voting set to star t on Monday for six taxing entities

With early voting set to begin for the May 6 election on Monday, six Archer County taxing entities will be holding elections. Voters who live in the Archer City ISD district, city of Holliday, Holliday ISD district, city of Megargel, city of Windthorst and Windthorst ISD district will be voting on naming representatives to the school boards and city councils respectively.

Thought tornadoes have occurred in all 50 states, Texas is part of the notorious “Tornado Alley” where the often-volatile mix of cool, dry air from the Rocky Mountains mixes with the warm, moist air from the Gulf of Mexico most commonly meet on the Great Plains to produce the violent storms.

Archer County transfers truck to new precinct

The Archer County Commissioner’s Court voted to transfer a 2000 Mack Truck from Precinct 3 to Precinct 5 during its meeting on Monday, April 10. Precinct 3 Commissioner Pat Martin said he was no longer using the Mack Truck after the purchase of two new trucks last year.
