The Sheriff’s Office received 98 calls for service this week. As this report is being written there are 17 inmates and 4 being female in the Archer County Jail.

With his final son playing his last football game on Friday, Holliday Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Frank Johnson has decided to call it a career. Johnson informed the district of his intention to retire effective Jan. 31, 2023.

When Niki and Chris Nicsinger decided to move their family of four to Texas over a year ago, running a coffee shop was not on the agenda. Formerly of Los Angeles, they were motivated by the idea of a simpler, less crowded and less restrictive way of life. Soon after finding their footing on a small farm in central Archer County, tragedy struck. It was from this tragedy that Jawbone Coffee Co. was born.

It seems to me that the worldly beginning of the Christmas holidays starts earlier and earlier each year, and we cannot celebrate a holiday without immediately moving on to the next. Last week a friend on Facebook stated that Christmas does not begin until Santa Claus arrives at the end of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
