Body ACPD is asking for your help in capturing the dangerous wanted fugitive Michael Myers who has been seen lurking about Archer City. Myers escaped from an asylyum for the criminally insane and was last seen peering into the Archer County News and trying to steal the publisher’s car.

COVID Update

Body Archer County Judge Randy Jackson reported the county had 87 positive cases with 7 active cases as of Monday, Sept. 28.

Body The Sheriff’s Office received 104 Calls for Service during the past 7-day period ending Sunday, September 27, 2020. On the day of this report there were 27 individuals incarcerated in the Archer County Jail consisting of 23 men and 4 women.

Bald eagle is spotted in Scotland field

Body Last week Scotland resident Matt Yell got a call from his brother-in-law Matt Lindemann to come and see something interesting in the field of Lindemann’s parents, Wayne and Laverne Lindemann. It was a bald eagle snacking on a wild boar that Matt Lindeman had recently shot.

Archer City couple loses home to fire

Body Last Sunday an early morning fire caused extensive damage to the home of Lynn and Nita Lewis at 513 E. Main St in Archer City. There were no injuries reported. An account to help the Lewis’s with expenses has been established at American National Bank.
