Glynn Alden Clark was born in an oil field shack in Electra, in 1922 and passed away on Dec. 12, at the age of 99. He was preceded in death by his parents Dora Ella Parker Clark and Ballard Pete Clark, daughter Diane Parker Clark, and sister June Clark King. He is survived by his loving wife of 75 years, Evelyn Denny Parker Clark, daughter Donna June Clark, nieces Jan Grimshaw and Pat Meyers, nephew John Grimshaw, “adopted Vietnamese daughter Kim Ha Campbell, and other relatives. Glynn spent his early years following the oil boom with his parents. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from his high school in Archer City. He attended Midwestern Junior College in Wichita Falls and transferred to the University of Texas in Austin where he majored in Petroleum Engineering.

Glenda Gale Shawver 75, of Cisco entered into her heavenly home Dec. 7. Glenda was born June 17, 1946 in Fort Worth, to J.M. (Buster) Eudy and Dorothy Evelyn (Simmons) Eudy. She was in the last class to graduate from Scranton High School in Scranton.

Hoff to be recognized for 75 years of KoC service

Marvin Joseph Hoff was born at home on Nov. 18, 1928, in Windthorst to Ernest and Pauline (Zotz) Hoff. His younger years were spent going to school (which he hated), milking cows by hand, hauling hay, and picking cotton. His mother was known to say he was always getting in trouble along with his three brothers, but as the oldest, he seemed to be the leader of the pack.
