Many people believe that seeing is believing. But, we have it all wrong. If you accept it first, your eyes will be open to seeing the possibilities. What do we truly believe about our ability to do the impossible? The foundational beliefs shape the lives we buy into as children. Sometimes what we envision for our lives is limited because people convince us at an early age that we cannot do certain things. Somewhere along the way, we allow someone or something to smother the flame of possibility in our lives. We all begin with grand ideas and believe we can achieve almost anything. However, at some point, life begins to evade most of us with routines, demands, and “can’t do language.”

The Sheriff’s Office received 150 calls for service this past week. As this report is being written there are 29 inmates and seven being female in the Archer County Jail.

It’s time to enroll your kids in the best positive youth development program in Texas! The new 4-H year began Sept. 1, in all 254 counties in Texas. As part of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, the Texas 4-H Youth Development Program provides inclusive opportunities to youth ages 8-18 in grades 3-12 for personal growth, community service, and fun. Texas 4-H reaches around 500,000 youth per year.

As the Archer County Museum and Arts Center (ACMAC) continues to plan for its jail restoration and museum expansion, is looking to commission a local artist for a piece of artwork to be included in their marketing and promotional material.
