In the "Windthorst looking for nrew city secretary" article in last week's edition former Windthorst Mayor Sue Steinberger was referred to as Steve Steinberger and former Mayor Donnnie French was left off the list of former mayors Debbie Schroeder served under.

Well June has arrived, and that means rodeo time in Archer County. The Archer County Rodeo Association will present the 76th Annual Archer County Rodeo and Ranch Rodeo June 16 through 18 at the Archer County Rodeo Arena.

“We have a lot of oil trucks running through our county,” says Wade Scarbrough (Commissioner, Precinct 1), “and many of these now heavily trafficked roads were only intended for tractors and light agricultural traffic. Now with not only the oil trucks, but also an increasing population and new developments, we’ve been looking for something better.”

The annual Round Timber Reunion will be held at the Round Timber Cemetery on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at the cemetery pavilion. The Round Timber Cemetery Association (RTCA) meeting will begin at 11:30 a.m.

The ACISD Cheerleading Annual Two Man Scramble was held at the Archer City Country Club on Friday, June 10. Seventeen teams participated, 46 holesponsors, 10 high school cheerleaders and eight junior high cheerleaders.
