During the Archer City ISD School Board meeting Monday, Aug. 30, around 30 members of the public showed up to support three male students who served in school suspension for failure to meet the hair grooming requirements laid out in the student handbook.

Holliday ISD opened the new addition of the band hall and allowed students and band directors to move into the space on Monday, Aug. 23.

The Archer City ISD school board approved the fiscal year 2022 budget and tax rate during its board meeting Monday, Aug. 30.

Archer City’s Prowlin’ Growlin’ Wildcat Band debuts it’s 2021 show next Friday, Sept. 3, at the Archer City season-opening football game at Haskell.

It started out three years ago as road trips to forgotten places on the back roads of Texas for Midwestern State University Associate Professor of Art Morgan Page and her fiancé Dustin Rice. It’s turned into a possible book and museum exhibitions across the state, with some good press from Texas Highways magazine and Texas Monthly.

The Alzheimer’s Association is inviting Wichita Falls area residents to join the fight to end Alzheimer’s by participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Sept. 25 at Bud Daniel Park, 9th & Ohio St., Wichita Falls, TX 76301.
