Invenergy, America’s largest privately held developer, owner, and operator of clean energy solutions, recently sponsored the Patsy’s House Children’s Advocacy Center fundraiser to further the organization’s mission of providing resources, counseling, and support programs for children and non-offending family members experiencing neglect. As the operator of nearby wind energy centers in Baylor and Archer County, Invenergy remains committed to serving the needs of the greater Wichita Falls region.

The problem in 21st-century America is that we want to redefine Christianity and God as belonging to a set or group of people. For thousands of years, we have fought wars, justified behavior, and surrendered to authorities, all in the name of Christianity. I would hold out that there is a better way, a more Christ-like way, of loving neighbor.

The Archer City ISD school board approved the proposal of termination for teacher and head baseball coach Craig Coheley in its board meeting on Monday, Sept. 22.

The Archer County Commissioner’s Court designated Oct. 6 – 11 as National 4-H Week and allowed the 4-H flag to be flown over the courthouse during that week during its meeting on Monday, Sept. 22.

In thirty years of being in the ministry, I have seen the best of life and the worst of life. We all have perspectives that have been shaped by the things that we have experienced. Every person has the possibility of doing some good things or some really bad things in life. It's important that we take time to step back from the negativity and regain a right way of thinking. We have to slow down and consider our priorities.

Archer City ISD announced on Monday that it was placing a teacher/ coach on administrative leave after it was notified of inappropriate communications between the teacher and high school students on Saturday, Sept. 16.
