Body The Sheriff’s Office received 121 Calls for Service during the past seven day period ending Sunday, Oct. 11. On the day of this report there were 25 individuals incarcerated in the Archer County Jail consisting of 23 men and two women.

Senate District 30 runoff gets election date

Body None of the six candidates got a clear majority of votes for the Senate District 30 unexpired term of Pat Fallon. Shelley Luther and Drew Springer garnered enough votes to face each other in a special runoff election. Governor Greg Abbott issued a proclamation on Oct.

Holliday Council votes to protect students

Body Traffic and pedestrian traffic congestion in and around the 600 Block of S. College Avenue during pick-up and drop-off times in front of Holliday Elementary School has created a serious safety hazard for school children, teachers and parents, according to the district.

Archer County COVID-19 update

Body Archer County Judge Randy Jackson announced the county had 98 positive cases with five of them being active as of Tuesday, Oct 13. The county also has reported one COVID-19 related fatality.
