Four Archer County nonprofit organizations are participating in the 24-county area fundraising program Texoma Gives, which kicks off at 6 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, with donations able to be given before the event.
The Sheriff’s Office received 110 Calls for Service during the past seven day period ending Sunday, Aug. 30. On the day of this report there were 30 individuals incarcerated in the Archer County Jail consisting of 27 men and three women.

The University of Texas chose to honor Windthorst legend and current Trojanette basketball coach Heather Stark with a spot in the Hall of Honor. Formerly Heather Schreiber, Stark helped turn girls athletics into the powerhouse it is today for the Trojanettes.
