The Sheriff’s Office received 110 Calls for Service during the past seven day period ending Sunday, Aug. 30. On the day of this report there were 30 individuals incarcerated in the Archer County Jail consisting of 27 men and three women.

Holliday dedicates field in Lucy’s honor

KFDX Channel 3’s Tobin McDuff recently posed a question on Twitter: Who is the Mount Rushmore at Holliday? In a brief polling session of the same question, Don Lucy was the first name out of everyone’s mouth.

J.J. Belcher honored as teacher of the year

Out of over 1,300 nominations, Windthorst High School math teacher J.J. Belcher was selected as the Red River Best Chevy Dealers Teacher of the Year.

Nominations came from students, fellow teachers and administrators. Her nomination included comments such as, “She follows the golden rule and knows how to make math fun with cool problems.”

J.J. Belcher is presented the award as Red River Best Chevy Dealer Teacher of the Year by Gene Klinkerman of FourStars Auto Ranch.
