It is coming on the first Sunday after Easter. Do you still remember how you felt when you first heard the passion narrative, the story of Christ’s sacrifice for our salvation? Jesus Christ was not recognized as the long-awaited Messiah; he was betrayed, turned over to authorities, illegally tried, and sentenced to death. Jesus predicted his death and repeatedly spoke to the disciples about his victory over death, and that he would return, be resurrected. As promised, Jesus did exactly as he said.

The Holliday ISD School Board approved the purchase of playground equipment for the Holliday Elementary School in its meeting on Monday, April 14. The board accepted the bid from Lea Park and Play out of two other proposals.

The Windthorst ISD School board approved three items in a quick school board meeting on Monday, April 14. The board approved a donation from the Parent- Teacher Group to purchase a new laminator for the high school.

A couple of years ago, my wife and I took a trip to Rochester in New York. She had went to school there for 2 years to play volleyball and has family there. I had never been before but was excited to see a new place. When we went there were many things that she said we couldn’t miss while we were there. We couldn’t miss Niagara Falls, the Finger Lakes, Letchworth State Park, or garbage plates (a plate with hamburger patties, home fries, mac salad, mustard, ketchup, onions, topped with meat sauce!). If we missed any of those then then we missed an experience of a lifetime. When we think about Easter and the Resurrection of Jesus, there is much we can focus on. But as you celebrate this Easter, I want to make sure you don’t miss 4 essential things about the resurrection.
