County purchases lawnmower

Body The Archer County Commissioner’s Court approved purchasing a new lawnmower for the inmate work crew during its meeting on Monday, March 11. Sheriff Jack Curd made the request for a new lawnmower to the court.

Sosebee newest AC officer on duty

Body Archer City Police Department has a second full-time officer for the first time in nearly half a year as Joshua Sosebee started in the position last month. Sosebee fills the position that was left vacant when Matt England left for another job in September of 2023.

Wylie to retire from Archer County Auditor

Body Archer County Auditor Paul Wylie is set to retire from the position by the end of his term in June. The county auditor is responsible for working closely with the county treasurer to keep an eye on the county’s money.
