As 2023 comes to an end, the Archer County News looks back at some of the top stories from throughout the year. This week, we take a look back at some of the top stories from January through June.

The Archer City council approved extending the response time requirement for a second police officer to 30 minutes during its meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 19.

Over the Thanksgiving break I, Isabelle Parkey, was able to attend the National 4-H Congress in Atlanta Georgia, along with 29 other 4-H members from Texas. National 4-H Congress is the flagship event of the National 4-H program.

Archer City ISD announced that it received a Community Grant from Walmart/Sams Club in the amount of $1,500. The money will be used to help fund the band's trip to Austin/San Antonio in the spring semester.

Archer City's Marley Morrison won the kindgerten section of the Archer County News' Christmas drawing contest. She won $10 from the newspaper.
