Rachel Michelle Wingo, age 71, of Archer City, Texas passed away Sunday, June 18, 2023, as a result of a motorcycle accident in Wichita County. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m.

Ray Edward Berend was gifted to be born into the family of Lawrence and Helen Berend of Windthorst, on July 22, 1945. He was number three of six which most likely explained his penchant for negotiation. Windthorst was his home until he left to attend the University of Dallas later transferring to St Mary’s University where he earned his accounting degree, and subsequently went to work for Padgett & Padgett, later becoming its managing partner and owner of Padgett, Stratemann and Co.

Doris Mae Musgrave, 91, passed away Friday, June 9, 2023 in Archer City. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 12, 2023 at 10 a.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Jim Ned Cemetery in Bridgeport.

Raymond Melton Mills, 60, of Bowie, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 30. A celebration of life service will be hosted by his children from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, June 11 , in the Chapman Building at 116 W. Wise Street in Bowie. It will be a come-and-go memorial event. His children look forward to gathering with friends and family to remember their dad.

Joe Bert Kuykendall, age 63, of North Archer County, passed away Friday, May 19, 2023, at his residence. Services were held at 10 a.m.

Mack Howell, age 76, lifelong resident of Archer City, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, Wednesday afternoon, April 5, 2023, at his residence. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m.

Janie Ann Cox was born in Archer City on Jan. 29, 1947.

Dorothy Elizabeth Carpenter, 98, of Archer City, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. Graveside services were held on Friday, May 5 at Throckmorton Cemetery under the direction of Lunn’s Colonial Funeral Home.
