Holliday burns City View despite slow second set

Body After recording their eighth-straight win on Saturday, Sept. 19, the Holliday Lady Eagles made their first appearance in the Texas Girls Coaches Association State Volleyball poll, coming in at No. 21 in the Class 3A rankings with an 11-3 record and a 4-0 mark in district play.

Windthorst remains unbeaten, dominates Seymour

Body The fourth-ranked Windthorst Trojans built a 35-0 first half lead and coasted to victory in a 42-0 rout of Seymour on the road on Friday, Sept. 18. The Trojans remain unbeaten while the defense continues to be a stalwart, allowing four touchdowns through the first four games.

Second-half magic again propels Eagles to comeback

Body In the first half of its three non-district matchups this season, the Holliday Eagles have been outscored by their opponents 59-7. Those are not the sort of numbers you expect from a team with a winning record, but the Eagles have made plays when it counted.
