Football Schedules Set for Archer County

On the same day that the UIL released their biennial reclassifications and district realignments on Monday, Feb. 2, the football schedules for Archer City, Holliday, and Windthorst were all also confirmed and set for the next two seasons.

District Honors Announced for Holliday

Eagles Senior pitcher Caleb White took home the lone district superlative for the Eagles this season, claiming a Co-Pitcher of the Year nod for District 7-3A. In his 32.1 innings pitched against district foes, White posted a stellar 1.732 ERA, and held opposing batters to a .189 batting average.
Lady Eagle senior Jordan Peters was named District 7-3A Utility Player of the Year after she had a .917 fielding percentage as a fielder and a .619 batting average as a hitter. File photo

ACN's Baseball Diamond Dozen

Archer County baseball had another successful year on the diamond this season. Under new head coach Michael Wolf, the Archer City Wildcats made the 2A-D1 playoffs for the second- consecutive season.
Windthorst ace Conner Schreiber earned the Diamond Dozen MVP award after he finished with 128 strikeouts and recorded a .486 ERA from the mound, while batting a .425 and registering a near-perfect .992 fielding percentage. File photo
