The Archer Public Library in partnership with the Texas Center for the Book and the Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC), invites Texans of all ages to participate in the statewide Texas America250 Reading Challenge, which launched Jan. 1 and continues through the end of the year.

The Sheriff’s Office has received 375 calls for service these past three weeks. As this report is being written there are 32 inmates 4 being female in the Archer County Jail.
