"Archer County" As I sit here in the café, Murn’s, I see love and tenderness all about. Watching people laugh and talk, I learn.

It is the identity and mission of earthly Christian fathers to hallow the name of God Our Father. Men, husbands and fathers know your identity and your mission which flows from that identity. Men, husbands, fathers, you are the guardians and protectors of your families. Today’s men, husbands and fathers are in need of particular spiritual encouragement. We now live in a world where government, the educational system, the legal system and mass media are on a relentless attack on manhood and fatherhood. For as long as I can remember since I came to America in the 1970s, men have been portrayed as buffoons on TV and in mass media. The consequences of this should be no surprise as the spiritual enemy of the family knows that if you “strike the shepherd, the sheep will scatter” (Zech 13:7, Mt 26:31). Many men don’t know or forget that in Paul’s Letter to the Ephesians God reveals that He, God, is the source of all fatherhood and the source of the family. Paul writes “For this reason I kneel before the Father from whom every family in Heaven and on earth is named” (Eph 3:14). So, now you men need to wake up from the head games this accumulated worldly noise has been telling you about yourself, all the time, all your life. You need to get in touch with and know your true identity; that you are beloved sons of the Father called to love and serve your family as His representative in this world. You must put and serve your family first. This involves the sacrifice of your time and treasure.
