Trojans fall to #2 Lipan

The Trojans ran into a basketball buzzsaw on Friday, Feb. 21 after they faced off with the #2 ranked Lipan Indians in Jacksboro for the Area round of the playoffs. Despite a solid defense showing by Windthorst in the first quarter, the Indians eventually broke through on offense to eliminate the Trojans 6338.

Whit Parkey of Archer City, a member of Archer County 4-H, caught a calf during the 2025 Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo’s Calf Scramble, earning a $500 purchase certificate for a show heifer and the chance for up to $16,000 in scholarship awards. Parkey is the son of David W. Parkey and Vanessa R. Parkey. His award was sponsored by Frank and Kay Goldthwaite.

Trojanettes season comes to an end

The Lipan Lady Indians proved to be too much for the Windthorst Trojanettes in their area round playoff matchup in Jacksboro on Thursday, Feb. 13. The Lady Indians knocked down eight three-pointers in the game, seven in the first half alone.
