Trojans Continue to Roll Through District

The Windthorst Trojans picked up two more district victories this week, winning their series against the Olney Cubs by a combined 381. This marks their second district series of the season putting up over 30 combined runs.

Wildcats Split with Petrolia

The Archer City Wildcats bounced back from their series against the Windthorst Trojans last week with a series-split against the Petrolia Pirates, giving them the inner-lane for No.1 seed for District 9 in the 2A-D1 playoffs.

Holliday Flies High at District Track Meet

The Holliday track teams soared sky high at the District 7-3A meet on Monday, April 6, and Thursday, April 9, with the Eagles and Lady Eagles both winning their respective divisions. This marks the third-straight track season that Holliday was able to do so.

Lady Eagles Shutout Vernon

Since March 16 of this year, the Holliday Lady Eagles have only allowed five hits in their last four district games. That dominant run continued as they decimated the Vernon Lady Lions by a combined 29-0, and gave up just one hit in the two-game series.

Lady Cats Maul Electra

The Archer City Lady Cats set a county-high in runs scored with 28 in their district road game against the Electra Lady Tigers on Friday, April 10. Five different batters recorded four-or-more RBIs in the lopsided win, with the roster combining for 17 total hits.

Trojanettes Trample Lady Tigers, Lady Cubs

Tuesday, April 7 Windthorst 15 Electra 0 The Trojanettes’ recorded eight of their 14 total hits against the Lady Tigers in the first inning on Tuesday, including a string of seven- straight singles.
