The Archer City ISD school board officially hired Hico Superintendent Jon Hartgraves as the district’s next superintendent during its board meeting Tuesday, March 26. Hartgraves has served as superintendent of Hico ISD since 2012 and served as superintendent of Gordon ISD before that.

The Archer County Commissioner’s Court proclaimed April as Child Abuse Awareness Month during its meeting on Monday, March 25. According to the proclamation, during 2022 nearly 3.1 million children received either an investigation response or alternative response across the nation.

The titular ace bagged eight strikeouts in five innings, allowed no hits, no runs, and walked just a singular batter, grabbing his second and the team’s third win in district.
