The Archer County Commissioner’s Court discussed the possible temporary closure of Three Way Road during its meeting on Monday, March 23. Nick Jorgenson with Plains Pipeline was at the meeting to discuss the reasoning behind the request of temporary closing the road.

The 25-26 basketball season saw returning starters and fresh faces leave it all out on the court for the three county high school teams. The Windthorst Trojans secured their first district championship since 2006, while the Holliday Eagles made it to the Regional Semis round for the third-consecutive season.

The Holliday Eagles took on the Henrietta Bearcats on Tuesday, March 17, and Friday, March 20 for their next district series. Just a few days after their hardfought district losses to Iowa Park, the Eagles were set for another highly-contested series with the Bearcats. Tuesday, March 17

The Archer City Wildcat and Lady Cat track and field teams made their way down to Haskell on Thursday, March 19. Both teams had several quality showings in their respective events, including a bronze medal High Jump by freshman Lyla Nichols, while Jesse Rodriguez (400m) and Liam Shewmake (1600m/3200) both finished in the top-10 of their races.
