The reining Class 3A Region I champs picked up right where they left off last season as the Lady Eagles ran all over Burkburnett in a 14-0 rout in Holliday’s season-opener on Monday, Feb. 14.

Archer County was very well represented on the Texas Sports Writer’s Association all-state football and volleyball squads. A total of 18 athletes were selected between Archer City, Holliday and Windthorst.

For the second-straight year, District 9-2A had a rough showing in the bi-district round of the postseason. The district saw all four teams eliminated on Monday night with the closest contest, Windthorst against Cisco, decided by 13 points.
