An Archer City woman was arrested for injury to a child, a first-degree felony, by the Texas Rangers Friday, Oct. 28, stemming from an incident that occurred Sept.
C.D. and Maryellen Knobloch have a cow calf operation on 105 acres behind their home outside Archer City on Hwy 79. Of the 10 cows on this pasture cow #4, as the tag in her ear indicates, delivered triplets about three weeks ago.
For the third-straight year, the Holliday Lady Eagles are headed to Round Rock and for the second-straight year, Windthorst’s Cameron Belcher will be joining them. The top-ranked Lady Eagles blew away the competition at the Region I-3A Championship at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock, finishing 101 points ahead of second place Crane (132).

The 7th Grade Spartans ended their game with the Iowa Park Hawks in a tie, 16-16. Brock Belcher led the Spartans offensively, tossing two touchdown passes, one to Braiden Messineo and the other to Brodie Belz. Defensive Standouts were Hayden Cavazos and Riley Hoffman. The Spartans will play the Petrolia Pirates on Tuesday, October 26th.
The fourth-ranked Holliday Eagles rode a 34-point first quarter to a 62-14 rout of Nocona (1- 7, 0-3). The Eagles (8-0, 3-0) are two wins away from the program’s first unbeaten regular season since 2008.
The Archer City defense forced six turnovers as the Wildcats blew past Munday, 49-7. The Wildcats improve to 5-2 overall and 3-0 in district after winning their third-straight contest.
