New Archer City water plant fully operational

Body
Eight years ago, based on a 2009 Feasibility Study by the engineering firm of Biggs & Mathews Inc, the City Council of Archer City set the wheels in motion to design, finance and build a state of the art water plant. The project was financed with a USDA Rural Development grant of $3 million and a USDA Rural Development loan of $5 million approved in June of 2013. After miles of tedious red tape, construction was underway in the spring of 2018. The plant is now fully operational.
