Gail Schroeder gave a brief history of the St. Mary’s Christian Mother’s Society and Father Michael Moloney dedicated and blessed the Monument. Archer City saw a trio of individuals take bronze at the UIL State Tennis Tournament in San Antonio on Thursday, May 20. Chase Curry took third in boys singles while the duo of Jill Liles and Cade Strickland placed third in mixed doubles.
The Archer County Commissioner’s Court awarded a bid for a new camera and control system for the jail to Sustainable Security Solutions during its meeting Monday, May 24. The county had received two bids during its previous meeting with one from Sustainable Security Solutions for $297,451 and another from Cornerstone Control Systems for $545,561.
