Archer City locked up the No. 1 seed in the postseason and an outright district championship behind a 37-27 win over Seymour on Friday, Jan. 29. The Lady Cats improve to 18-3 overall and 9-0 in district action after making their debut in the TABC top 25 this past week at No. 25.

County COVID-19 vaccines being distributed

Archer County Judge Randy Jackson reported Monday, Jan. 25, the county has seen 18 new COVID-19 cases in the last week. The county will be included in the GA-29 mandate unless there are less than 30 cases in a two-week period.

Trojans raising money for rings, monument

The state champion Windthorst Trojans football team is raising money for rings and a new monument commemorating the school’s third football title. According to head coach Chris Tackett, the main goal of the fundraiser is to pay for as much of the student’s ring as possible.
