The Sheriff’s Office received 78 calls for service this week. As of this date there were 21 inmates in the Archer County Jail.

Archer County Judge Randy Jackson reported Monday, Jan. 25, the county has seen 18 new COVID-19 cases in the last week. The county will be included in the GA-29 mandate unless there are less than 30 cases in a two-week period.

Archer City rallies to stun Windthorst with big second half After a 34-point win on the road over Windthorst on Jan. 5 to open district play, Archer City might have underestimated the Trojanettes in their second meeting on Friday, Jan.

The state champion Windthorst Trojans football team is raising money for rings and a new monument commemorating the school’s third football title. According to head coach Chris Tackett, the main goal of the fundraiser is to pay for as much of the student’s ring as possible.
