Our county contest was held in January and allowed winners to advance to the district contest. Categories could have as many as 25 entries in each (1 per county in our district).

The Archer County Commissioner’s Court approved a disaster declaration during a special called meeting on Monday, May 5 after it was declared by County Judge Randy Jackson on Wednesday, April 30. The disaster declaration reads that the county has suffered widespread or severe damage, injury or loss of life of property resulting from excessive rainfall and/or flooding.

The Holliday Eagles and Lady Eagles track teams capped off a banner season for the program with a gold medal in the 3A Boys’ Division and a silver in the 3A Girls’ Division at the UIL Track & Field State Championships on Thursday, May 1.

Following a report on bond capacity, the Archer City ISD school board heard a report on what a potential bond project could look like and a potential design build company who could work for the district during its board meeting on Monday, April 28.
