Lakeside City approves new ACR services contract

The Lakeside City Council approved a professional services agreement with Kimley Horn for alternative capacity requirements (ACR) with TCEQ during its council meeting on Tuesday, March 18. City Administrator Cory Aspinwall said Kimley Horn, of Weatherford, will provide engineering services to the city which are needed to complete the ACR request.

Archer County lets burn ban expire

The Archer County Commissioner’s Court elected not extend the expired county wide burn ban during its meeting on Monday, March 24. Archer County Judge Randy Jackson declared a county-wide emergency burn ban on Wednesday, March 12, that will be in place for 10 days through March 22.

Eagles battle bitter rival Henrietta

Lady Cats win three straight district matchups

After losing their first district game to Petrolia, the Archer City Lady Cats bounced back in a big way, winning their next three district games by a combined 62-8. Archer City competes in Haskell Relays

The Archer City Lady Cats’ and Wildcats’ track and field teams travelled to Haskell on Thursday, March 20 to run and throw in the Haskell Relays. Sophomore Makaylee McCown took home a silver medal in the high jump after she hit a height of 4-8.

Trojanettes start district 3-1
