Three more youth catch calves at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo

Shooter Canada and Isabelle Parkey, members of Archer City FFA, and Hunter Talley, a member of Archer County 4-H, caught a calf during the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo’s Calf Scramble Jan. 30, 31 and Feb. 1 earning a $500 purchase certificate for a show heifer and the chance for up to $16,000 in scholarship awards.
Hunter Talley won a $500 purchase certificate toward a beef or dairy heifer for a 4-H or FFA project for exhibition at next year’s Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo. Archer County cities see rise in January sales tax revenue

The cities of Holliday, Lakeside City, Megargel and Windthorst saw an increase in sales tax in January than they did in the same time frame in 2022. Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced on Jan.11 he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.07 billion in local sales tax allocations for January, 7.6% more than in January 2022.
