Three Archer City High School journalists competed at the state UIL academic meet on May 6 at the University of Texas and earned four medals. Junior Kadence Huffman received the silver medal in editorial writing and placed fifth in copy editing.

Local student wins scholarship

Jenna Veitenheimer, of Scotland, received the Catholic Life Insurance All American Scholar Award. Veitenheimer, who is the daughter of Laurie and Kenneth Veitenheimer, is a senior at Windthorst High School. She will attend Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls this fall.
