County issues burn ban

Body Archer County Judge Randy Jackson declared a county-wide emergency burn ban on Wednesday, March 12, that will be in place for 10 days until March 22. The ban can be rescinded at an earlier date based on the determination of the Commissioner’s Court or County Judge.

Holliday city council updated on city park

Body The Holliday City Council were apprised of the issues of getting a new ladder for the playground equipment at the city park during its council meeting on Monday, March 17. Holliday Parks and Rec Committee member Hayden Hansen provided the update to council.

Kulhanek named new extension agent

Body The Archer County Commissioner’s Court approved the hiring of Kortney Kulhanek as the new Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Agent during its meeting on Monday, March 10. Kulhanek will be replacing the departed Paige McSpadden as the county’s new Ag and Natural Resources agent.

Windthorst ISD board approved CFB Local change

Body The Windthorst ISD school board approved another change to CFB local board policy during its board meeting on Monday, March 17. The board approved a CFB Local amendment in its previous which changes the amount of a fixed asset to be classified from $5,000 to $10,000.
