The Holliday Eagles travelled south to compete in the Lions Club Buckaroo Shootout basketball tournament in Breckenridge from Thursday, Dec. 5 to Saturday, Dec. 7. The Eagles swept the competition in the tournament, finished with a 4-0 record, and secured the tournament championship.

The Archer City Lady Cats’ playoff streak continued, the Holliday Lady Eagles soared through their playoff competition for a Regional Finals round appearance, and the Windthorst Trojanettes overcame so many odds to battle to the State Semifinals round for the 25th time in school history.

The Windthorst ISD school board approved the district’s Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) rating during its meeting on Monday, Dec. 9.
