Boldly Go

Body
God challenges us to boldly go where we have never gone before. He challenges us to refuse to accept “no win” situations. We need to realize we serve the Son of God, and that He is a leader who will do whatever it takes to do whatever has to be done so that we can fulfill our mission and purpose. The question we face is do we believe our God can do what needs to be done? Do we believe He has the power to defeat “NO-WIN” SCENARIOS? When things are not going well, people have a tendency to have negative thoughts. We all encounter obstacles in our lives that frustrate us, discourage us, and disappoint us. We all encounter sickness, financial problems, loss of friends and loved ones, etc. We all have them. As a result, our dreams, our excitement we once had are gone. It is as if we are facing a “no-win” situation all over again. But do not forget we have an all-powerful God, the Creator of all things on our side. It is as we are told, “Is there anything I can’t do?” Because we serve a God who can do whatever needs to be done, we are always in a win-win situation. In Acts 2:47 we are told that the early church was “praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.” Now, what did we just read? The Lord added to the church. Can God do that? Well, of course He can, because our God can do anything and everything. That is the reason God can solve all our problems. Don’t get caught in the trap of thinking God is limited in what He can do, in believing that God can’t win the day. King Jehoshaphat and the nation of Judah were trapped by a huge and vicious army right at their doorstep (2 Chron. 20:1-25). This looming disaster motivated the nation to turn back to God. They prayed and fasted and praised God and went out to meet their enemy-together. The result was God destroyed that enemy. It was God who solved their “no- win” situation. The nation of Judah was motivated to turn to God to solve their problems. Are we motivated to do the same thing? Do you have situations that baffle you and are dragging you down? Then turn back to God and lay them at His feet. All Judah had to do was to pray and fast. Can’t we do the same thing?
