The Archer City Wildcats (2-5) battled the Petrolia Pirates (2-5) in district play on Tuesday, Feb. 6. Both teams were desperate to notch a district win and grab the fourth-place spot with just two games remaining in the season.

On a night filled with emotion as the Windthorst faithful celebrated the graduating senior Trojans and Trojanettes basketball players, those same Trojans battled the Panthers for the second-place spot in district on Tuesday, Feb. 6.

The Archer City Lady Cats played their final baketball game of the season on Tuesday, Feb. 6, against the Petrolia Lady Pirates.

The Windthorst Trojanettes were unstoppable in their Bi-District round matchup against the Stamford Lady Bulldogs on Monday, Feb. 12, scorching their opponents for the entire four quarters.

With over 2,100 points in his career, Holliday’s Keitenn Bristow has hit some big shots in his lifetime. None were bigger than his step back 3-pointer with 12.7 seconds remaining to give the Eagles their first lead of the night and propel Holliday to its first district championship since 2019.

The Windthorst Trojans (4-4) battled the Archer City Wildcats (3-5) in a home matchup on Friday, Feb. 9. The Wildcats were aiming to cement their fourth-place spot with a victory, while the Trojans looked to lock-in their third-place spot with a win of their own.

The Windthorst Trojanettes had their final district showdown at home on Tuesday, Feb. 6.

Holliday erased an eight point deficit in the final four minutes to stun City View in a 45-40 thriller to lock up a share of the District 7-3A crown for the second straight season. “We felt really jaded at the beginning of the year,” Holliday head coach Derek Winn said.
