After powering the Trojanettes to the State Semifinals, Rylee Wolf was named District 7-2A MVP and a host of other Windthorst and Archer City players received district honors.
Wolf was named district MVP honors by posting 674 kills, 437 digs, 49 aces and 74 blocks for her senior year.
Annikah Frank was named the district's hitter of the year after she collected 456 kills, 430 digs, 68 aces, 38 assists and 47 blocks in her senior year.
Junior Megg Lindley was the setter of the year after she threw up 817 assists, 326 digs and 92 kills.
The Windthorst Trojanettes’ bid for a repeat came to an end in the state-semifinals with a hard-fought loss to Crawford, 27-29, 24-26, 16-25, on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland.
The Lady Pirates (43-7) used a balanced attack from four players using a mixture of spikes and dinks to build sizable leads before the Trojanettes (44-6) stormed back each set.
