Body The Archer Thrift Shop will be closing at the end of July after co-managers Joe Roderick and Steven Schroeder made the difficult to decision to close the non-profit. The thrift shop sold donated clothes to those in need for pennies on the dollar.

County approves special taxing disater option

Body The Archer County Commissioner’s Court approved a special taxing unit disaster option during its meeting Monday, July 12, which allow the county to move the rollback property tax rate from 3.5% above the effective rate to 8% above the effective property tax rate.
