James J. Zotz, Sr., age 89, a lifelong resident of Windthorst, Texas, passed away peacefully at Hospice of Wichita Falls on Jan.

Debbye Shelton Guffey, born March 9, 1953, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in Wichita Falls on Jan. 29, 2026. She lived a full and vibrant life defined by love, strength, and a personality that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Richard Don Schlomach, M.D., of Alvord, formerly of Wichita Falls and Archer City, age 91, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jan. 29, 2026.

On Friday, Jan. 23, 2026, there was great celebration in Heaven when Dennis Myers Shawver, age 83, went HOME to be with JESUS! Dennis was born Oct.10, 1942 at the family home in the Westover community in Baylor County.

Ralph Veitenheimer, age 92, of Windthorst, Texas passed away Sunday, Jan. 18, 2026, at his residence.

Holly Clarissa Johnston, age 42, of Scotland, Texas passed away peacefully on Jan. 5, 2026, in Wichita Falls.

Robert Vernon Geis, lovingly known as Vernon, passed away on Monday, Dec. 15, 2025, in Clay County, Texas, at the age of 62.

Raymond Earl Tedrow, age 70, passed away peacefully in his home on Dec. 15, 2025 after a short but hard fought battle with cancer. Graveside services will be held on Monday, Dec. 22, at 11 a.m. in Megargel Cemetery with Scotte Clark Officiating.

Dr. Blaine Smith Purcell passed away from heart failure on Nov. 29, 2025. Born on Aug. 11, 1948, in Waco, he was the oldest child of Graham and Betty Purcell. He lived in Wichita Falls until he was a teenager, when the family moved to Mount Vernon, Virginia.

Margaret Berend Schroeder, age 91, of Windthorst, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in the home of her birth, The Berend Farm, on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025.
