Douglas Duke “Doug” Strange Jr., 51, of Holliday, passed away on April 10, 2025. It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Douglas Duke “Doug” Strange Jr., who left this world far too soon on April 10.

Sandra Ann Morrison Huffman, of Northern Archer County passed away Saturday, April 5, 2025, in Wichita Falls at the age of 83. Services will be held at 10 a.m.

Harold Lee Garlington, age 96, of Archer City, passed away Wednesday, March 19, at Hospice of Wichita Falls. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m.

Regina Jo Farmer, age 68, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama passed away Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025, in Tuscaloosa.

On Feb. 14, 2025, Ruth Laverne “Ponchie” Deen went home to be with the Lord, her parents, and brothers. Ponchie was born on March 17, 1946, to the late Obie William Deen and Gussie Burks Deen of Archer City.

“Come to me all who are weary and carry heavy burdens and I will give you rest” Matthew 11:28. Eddie worked hard his entire life and carried many burdens, but through his relationship with Jesus he is finally at peace and able to rest. Eddie joined the love of his life on Feb. 14, 2025 just in time for Valentine’s Day. He and Donna Sue Cooper started dating when she was 14, and he was 18. They married on Oct. 25, 1965 and celebrated 54 years of marriage. She preceded him in death on Nov.7, 2019.

John Hash, 86 of Albany, passed away Thursday, Feb. 13, 2025. Funeral services wereheld at 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 17 at First Baptist Church with Jody Sanders officiating. Interment will follow in the Albany Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation was held from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 16 at Morehart Mortuary of Albany. John Daniel Hash was born June 11, 1938 in Albany, Texas to CK Hash and Marjorie Chambers Hash. He married Doris Swanner on Dec. 8, 1960, in Fort Worth. John was a simple man and a man of few words. Most of his conversations began as guests were getting ready to leave. He could usually be found in the middle of a field on a tractor or tending to his cows. John was a hardworking man and was rarely bothered by much. He was proud of his kids, grandkids, great-grandkids and the work he did. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Doris Hash; two brothers, Charles Hash and Dick Hash; and one sister, Joyce Kimbrough.

Steven Wesley Tredway, from Georgetown, Texas was a devoted husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, son, uncle, brother and friend passed away at home with his wife, sister and stepdaughter by his side, on Jan. 16, 2025 at the age of 67.

Leonard John “Lenny” Berend, age 78, of Windthorst, passed away on Thursday afternoon, Jan. 30, 2025, in Wichita Falls surrounded by his family.

Howard Russell “Rusty” Spikes, age 74, of Archer City passed away Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2025, in Wichita Falls.
