Lady Cats go the distance with Petrolia

Archer City endured a five-set slugfest versus the Petrolia Lady Pirates on Tuesday, Oct. 8 to eek out the 16-14 victory and notch their second district win of the season. This nail-biting win pushes the team’s district record to 2-2.

Lady Eagles keep district win streak alive

The Lady Eagles seem to be near-unbeatable this year as they scored a dominant clean sweep over the Vernon Lady Lions on Tuesday, Oct. 8 before knocking off the Henrietta Lady Cats in 4-1 set victory on Friday, Oct. 11 to remain undefeated in district play.

Eagles collar Bulldogs

The Holliday Eagles travelled to the home of the Millsap Bulldogs on Friday, Oct. 11, for the Red and White’s first district game on the gridiron. The Eagles were in tip-top shape on Friday, scoring on six of their seven first half drives to tame the Bulldogs 48-20 and kickoff district with a win.

Lady Eagle’s run of district dominance continues

The Holliday Lady Eagle’s utter devastation through the district continued on Tuesday, October 1 and Friday, October 4 as they swept the City View Lady Mustangs and the Jacksboro Tigerettes to remain undefeated in district play.

Trojanettes take game one against Archer City

The Windthorst Trojanettes and the Archer City Lady Cats have a storied rivalry on the volleyball court, including several heavyweight bouts, but the Big Blue has had the upper hand as of late, winning the last four meeting between the two. On Saturday, Oct. 5, the Lady Cats had their first opportunity to turn their fortunes around as they hosted the Trojanettes in the duo’s first matchup of the year.

Trojans force shutout on Homecoming

The Windthorst Trojans improved to 2-0 in district after pitching a 62-0 shutout over the Munday Moguls on Homecoming Night Friday, Oct. 4. Seven different skill players scored on the night for the Trojans, including a pick-six by the Big Blue defense.

Spartans thump Munday

The Spartans Junior High combined together and played one game at Munday on Thursday, Oct. 3. The Spartans defeated Munday Junior High 30-0. The Spartans had two touchdown runs by John Crenshaw, and one by Stony Belz. Belz also threw a touchdown pass to Aiden Teague. Colton Berend ran a two-point conversion in, and Barrett Wolf caught a two-point conversion in the win. The Spartans will play Archer City Junior High on Thursday, Oct.10 at home. Good job Spartans.
