The Holliday Lady Eagles nearly doubled up second- place Brock to win the District 7/8-3A Area track meet on Thurs., April 20, in Jacksboro. Holliday finished with 147 points topping Brock’s 79 by 68 points while sending 11 athletes to the regional meet.

Fri., April 21 Holliday 7, Iowa Park 1 Holliday (24-4) added two runs apiece in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings to blow open a 1-0 lead against Iowa Park to lock up the district championship. Layne Owen powered the offense, going 2-for-3 with a two-run bomb and a double.
