What a tremendous year for Archer County on the volleyball hardwood. From Windthorst winning its record- breaking 14th state championship to Holliday advancing to the regional finals for the third-straight season to Archer City keeping its playoff streak alive, 2022 was certainly a year to remember.

Eagles prevail in win over Wildcats

The Holliday Eagles opened up a 13 point lead over the Archer City Wildcats in the first half Tuesday night in the Wildcat gym. Keitenn Bristow led the way for the Eagles with 21 points.

Holliday may very well be the second best team in the state. On the one hand, it goes to show how close the Eagles are to winning their first state championship in program history. On the other hand, it shows how far Holliday needs to go to compete with the state’s best.
