Body David Andrew Roewe, 65, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Monday, Aug. 7, 2023. He was born in Jacksboro on April 28, 1958, to Henry J. and Shirley A. Roewe, the second of six children. He lived in Windthorst until the age of 11 when his family moved to Oklahoma City.

Body The Mohave Desert is burning. My first thought was, “How in the world do you catch a desert on fire?” Widely spaced plants evolved to store water for long periods, plants that are used to hot/dry conditions. On fire? Unheard of. I had to watch the newsreels and there it was.
