The Archer County Commissioner’s Court approved the replat of the Maag Ranch Estates subdivision during its meeting on Monday, Sept. 9.

The Holliday Eagles may have already had one of the best football games of the season, and its only week 2. The Red and White endured a long bus ride on Thursday, Sept. 5, to face off against the Muenster Hornets on the gridiron in front of a jam-packed crowd at Hornet Stadium.

The Archer City Wildcats looked to keep the momentum going as they hosted the Anson Tigers in non-district football action on Friday, Sept. 6. The 1-0 Wildcats aimed to prove their stellar rushing performance against the Quanah Indians last Friday was no fluke, while the Tigers hoped to keep Archer City from bulldozing defenders for the entire game.

The Lady Eagles faced off in a five-set slugfest against the Wichita Falls Memorial Lady Mavericks on Friday, Sept. 6 After dropping the first set 16-25, Holliday soared back with a 25-20 victory. The Lady Mavericks marked another set win with a 19-25 victory. The Lady Eagles bounced back in set four with a 25-16 win, tying up the sets. But Memorial was able to outlast Holliday, securing the 15-9 fifth-set win.
