Wildcats finish in fourth place

Body
The Archer City Wildcats played their final district game on Tuesday, Feb. 13 in a home contest against the Nocona Indians. The rolling Wildcats (4-5) were on a two-game win-streak and aimed at extending the streak to three, giving themselves a tie for third place. The visiting Indians (9-0) already clenched the first-place spot in district and had a win-streak of their own to conserve. The matchup was sure to be a knock-down drag-out fight.

Trojans place third

Body
Defense was the name of the game for the Trojans on Tuesday, Feb. 13, not allowing the visiting Olney Cubs to score more than 10 points in a quarter until the fourth. With Windthorst (4-5) going on a slight skid, losing three of their last four, and just one victory away from clinching the third seed in district, the clash with the Cubs (1-8) was the only obstacle left in the season and a perfect “get-right” game.
