The Lakeside City council approved a $200,000 bid from Dredge America for the dredging of the city's primary sewer lagoons during its meeting Tuesday, Oct. 18.

Holliday and Windthorst both ensured themselves of playing a little more volleyball once November rolls around. The Lady Eagles and Trojanettes each locked up, at the very least, a postseason bid with an opportunity to put the finishing touches on a district championship in the coming matches.

Windthorst overcame several big plays by the Pirates and fought off a feisty Petrolia squad in a 30-18 homecoming win on Friday, Oct. 7.

Archer City rushed for over 13 yards per carry, picking up 316 yards on 23 totes, in a lopsided win over a listless Electra team, 54-6.

Just like they’ve done all season long, the Holliday Eagles and Lady Eagles finished at the top of the medal stand following the District 7-3A Cross Country Championships on Monday, Oct. 10.
