Historic season comes to an end in state semifinals

As the famous saying goes, ‘all good things must come to an end.’

The Lady Eagles’ historic postseason run, which included the team’s first trip to the UIL State Softball Tournament in Austin, ended in the state semifinals. Holliday fell to Diboll 9-3 on Wednesday, June 2, at Red and Charline McCombs Field.

Archer City ISD accepts donation for new football jerseys and helmets

Intrigue ensued within the discussion to accept the donation of funds to purchase football helmets and jerseys for players, during the Archer City ISD school board meeting on May 24. “From Trojan Medical Supply Corporation there is a check for $16,626 and it is for 44 new football helmets and will cover partial cost for jerseys as well,” Superintendent, C.D.
