The Archer County Commissioner’s Court rescinded and reapproved the tax rate and operating budget for the next fiscal year during a special called meeting Thursday, Sept. 2.
Amanda Crow was on the agenda at the Tuesday, Aug. 31, Archer City city council meeting to discuss the operation of golf carts. The meeting was expected to have numerous people on hand to comment on the subject.
Five Archer County nonprofit organizations are participating in the 24-county area fundraising program Texoma Gives, which kicks off at 6 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, with donations able to be given before the event.
Pam Hughes Pak from Atmos Energy presented a donation of $400 to the Holliday Senior Center in her hometown of Holliday. The donation is a part of the Atmos Energy’s Fueling Safe and Thriving Communities initiative, which provides assistance to feed neighbors in the communities they serve.
