Dairy MAX donates cooler to Mustangs Pantry

Dairy MAX, a nonprofit dairy council, has donated a new 64-gallon commercial cooler to Midwestern State University’s Mustangs Pantry. The new cooler increases the pantry’s refrigeration capacities and will give the pantry the ability to store milk, yogurt, cheese, and other dairy items for longer periods to meet the needs of students with food insecurities.

10-year brand renewal period coming up

The Archer County Clerk’s Office will begin accepting brand renewals on Aug. 31. All state cattle brands are set to expire on Feb. 28, 2022, according to section 144.044 of the Texas Agricultural Code.

Stallcup named VP of marketing at Texas Motor Speedway

Texas Motor Speedway has promoted Ellen Stallcup to the newly created position of vice president of marketing for the multi-purpose facility celebrating its 25th Season of Speed in 2021. Stallcup got her start at the Great American Speedway in 2003 as an intern with the corporate sales department for the fall INDYCAR race weekend.

Commissioners discuss COVID-19 increase, response

County commits $153,000 to water supply corporations

The Archer County Commissioner’s Court voted to approve an expenditure of approximately $153,000 from the American Rescue Plan Act to Archer M.U.D. and Windthorst Water Supply Corporation for back-up generators in a special called meeting Friday, Aug. 13.
